    Trinqu'âmes Sauvignon Blanc Touraine '25

Coralie and Damien Delecheneau are best known for their estate La Grange Tiphaine, one of the benchmark domaines of Touraine and Montlouis-sur-Loire. Damien is the fifth generation of his family to work the domaine, and together he and Coralie have become important voices for organic and biodynamic farming in this part of the Loire Valley. While their estate wines come from their own vineyards, Trinqu’âmes Sauvignon Blanc Touraine 2025 is made under their négoce label, using organic Sauvignon Blanc purchased from neighboring growers they know and trust.

Trinqu’âmes, a pun that means “let’s toast to our souls,” comes from vineyards between Amboise and Oisly, in Touraine. Here, sandy, silex-rich soils over clay allow Sauvignon Blanc to ripen fully while preserving the grape’s natural vibrancy and snap. The grapes are hand-harvested, pressed directly, settled overnight, and fermented spontaneously before aging in cement for six months and being lightly filtered.

This is exactly what Touraine Sauvignon Blanc should be: bright, energetic, and deeply refreshing, but with more texture and personality than the average bistro white. The wine shows notes of lemon and lime zest, grapefruit, lemongrass, sage, a hint of white pepper, and just a touch of passion fruit. It would be terrific with fresh goat cheeses, oysters with cucumber and lime granita, green tomato and cucumber gazpacho, or a Caesar salad with plenty of garlic and anchovies.
